Academic Program and Supports


  • Promote authentic learning through balanced literacy and exit portfolios
  • Create profiles of student data to better individualize instruction
  • Create time for teacher collaboration, planning and professional development
  • Set goals for achievement and communicate them to students and families

Seamless Day and Year:


  • Alignment of After School Program with site priorities
  • Leveraging site funds to facilitate the organization of lunchtime sports and student mentoring
  • Project-based learning summer program which served 150 students
  • After school program which serves 250 children, fully half of our students
  • Mental health consultation for all staff
  • ASP lead teachers meet regularly with school day teachers to share information around students (academic & behavioral)
  • ASP staff paid at top of scale and offered career development opportunities
  • ASP staff included in all school-wide professional development.
